Eligibility Criteria

A Bachelor's Degree in Science / Agriculture / Engineering / Technology with a minimum of 55% marks for General / OBC candidates / Defence Personnel and 50% for SC/ST/PWD students from a recognized University.

For industry Sponsored candidates, Bachelor's Degree in Science / Agriculture / Engineering / Technology with a minimum of 55% marks and five years industrial experience in a Food and allied industry.

Application Fee

A non-refundable Application Fee of Rs. 472/- (inclusive of GST @ 18%) by SC/ST/PWD candidates and Rs. 944/- (inclusive of GST @ 18%) by other candidates may be deposited through SBI COLLECT and printed copy of e-receipt of the same must be enclosed with the application.

Examination Centers

Entrance Test will be conducted at Mysuru, New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. The admit card will be generated immediately on filling the application form.

One of the seats notified above is reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PWD, Divyangjan).

Candidates claiming reservations under specific categories are required to provide attested documents as proof in support of their claims as per the format of Government of India. Vacancies reserved for OBC category are available to OBC candidates belonging to ''Non-creamy layer". The criteria for Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) will be as per the notification of Government of India. The OBC category candidate should submit the OBC certificate on format prescribed by Govt. of India, having "Non-Creamy Layer'' clause.

Candidates belonging to the creamy layer of OBC are NOT entitled for reservation. Such candidates are considered in the general (GEN) category, i.e. unreserved category and they will be eligible only for the OPEN seats. Candidates claiming reservations in OBCs category should also be listed in the current updated CENTRAL list of OBCs (www.ncbc.nic.in). OBCs present in the state list but not covered in the central list of OBCs (as per the list in www.ncbc.nic.in) are not eligible to claim the reservation. Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming under ''CREAMY LAYER'', are not entitledfor any relaxation/reservation available to OBC category and should indicate their category as General in the application.

Reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in selection is governed by Government of India notification in the OM No. 20013/01/2018-BC-II, dated January 17, 2019 and issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The benefit of EWS reservation will be given only to those General category candidates who satisfy the condition given in the above OM.

Industry sponsored candidates have to submit an authentic Certificate of Sponsorship from the sponsor with minimum of five years experience in a food and allied industry to apply for the course.

Qualifying marks for Entrance Test

The minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test will be 50% for (General / OBC students / Defence personnel/Industrial Sponsored) and 45% for (SC/ST/PWD students).

Selection Process

Candidates shall be ranked based on the Entrance Test (60% weightage) and Degree marks (40% weightage) in the order of merit, subject to reservation as described above.
For Industry sponsored candidates, selection process will comprise of written test followed by interview (Qualifying candidates only).
Any disputes with regard to Selection / Admission Process will be under Mysore Court Jurisdiction only.
Printout of application form along with relevant documents should reach to the office of undersigned on or before June 14, 2019 by 5 pm.
